What a $595 IRS Case Analysis Includes
Most tax resolution companies start with a free consultation. It's a sales call. The person on the phone hasn't seen your IRS account, so everything they tell you is a guess, and the guess is usually shaped to get you to sign a contract for several thousand dollars.
We do it the other way around. Before anyone talks about a resolution, we look at the actual account. That's the IRS Case Analysis. It costs $595, it takes about three weeks, and if you hire us for the resolution afterward, the $595 comes off that fee.
Here's exactly what's in it.
Step 1: One form, signed by you
Form 8821 authorizes the IRS to release your tax records to us. It doesn't give anyone power to act on your behalf or agree to anything; it just opens the file. You sign it electronically, and we submit it the same day.
Step 2: A preliminary read within days
While the IRS processes the authorization, we review whatever notices you already have. Within a few days you'll know what stage your case is at, whether there's a deadline running, and whether anything needs to happen immediately, like requesting a hearing to stop a levy. If something is urgent, we don't wait for the transcripts.
Step 3: Your transcripts, pulled directly
It takes the IRS up to eight days to grant access after the 8821 is submitted. Once it does, we pull three sets for every open year:
- Account transcripts, which show what was assessed, what's been paid, penalties, interest, and every action the IRS has taken
- Wage and income transcripts, which show every W-2, 1099 and other form the IRS has on file, so nothing gets missed if returns need to be filed
- Record of account, which combines the return as filed with the account activity since
This is the part the free-consultation model skips, and it's where the surprises are: a year you didn't know had a balance, a Substitute for Return the IRS filed for you, a penalty that qualifies for removal, or a balance that expires sooner than anyone realized.
Step 4: The written analysis
You get a plain-English report covering:
- What you actually owe, broken out by year and by tax, penalty, and interest
- Where the case stands: which notices are live, whether a lien is filed, whether a Revenue Officer is assigned
- Compliance gaps: unfiled returns, missing estimated payments or payroll deposits, anything that has to be fixed before the IRS will negotiate
- Collection expiration dates for each year, which sometimes change the entire strategy
- Every option you qualify for, ranked: installment agreement, hardship status, penalty abatement, Offer in Compromise feasibility, appeal windows
- A recommendation and a flat-fee quote for the resolution work, so you know the full cost before you decide anything
Step 5: A 30-minute review call
We walk through the report with you, answer your questions, and tell you what we'd do in your position. If the answer is "you don't need us," we say that too. The analysis is a product, not a funnel.
What happens next
If you hire us for the resolution, the $595 comes off the fee, and we start from a file we already understand. No re-explaining, no new discovery phase. If you don't hire us, you keep the report. Take it to another firm, take it to the IRS yourself, or sit on it. It's yours.
Either way, you now know what you owe, what your options are, and what they cost. That's the part the free consultation never gives you.
Who it's not for
If what you want is someone to tell you the IRS will take ten cents on the dollar, we're not your firm. If you want to know what's actually in your file before anyone asks you for thousands of dollars, that's exactly what this is.
FAQ
Why not just do a free consultation? Because a free consultation tells you what a salesperson thinks you want to hear. The Case Analysis tells you what's in your IRS file. Those are different things, and the difference is worth $595.
Three weeks? I need help now. If there's an urgent deadline, like a levy notice or a hearing request, we handle that immediately during the preliminary read. The full written analysis still takes about three weeks because that's how long the IRS takes to grant transcript access.
What if you find nothing wrong? That happens. Sometimes the analysis shows the balance is right, the notices are routine, and a simple payment plan handles it. You still get the full report, and you still know.
Call first. Then get the full picture.
One call starts it. (541) 331-4139. There's no sales call, no pressure, and no quote until we've seen the actual file. The $595 IRS Case Analysis is the first step, and if you hire us for the resolution, it comes off that fee.
