- How much does a QuickBooks cleanup cost?
- It depends on how many months need attention and how tangled the file is — which is why we quote flat, in writing, after a free look at your actual file. Budget-friendly cleanups are genuinely our specialty; you'll know the full price before we touch anything.
- My books are YEARS behind. Is that too far gone?
- Not even close. Multi-year cleanups and catch-ups are regular work for us — bank statements plus your records are enough to rebuild even badly neglected books. The only file that's too far gone is the one nobody ever starts on.
- Will you judge the state of my file?
- No. We've opened files with five-figure Opening Balance Equity mysteries, three years of unreconciled everything, and personal and business hopelessly mixed. Yours will not shock us. Getting help is the responsible move, not the embarrassing one.
- How do you access my books? Do I send you something?
- Nothing to send — QuickBooks Online is built for this. In your QBO account, go to Settings → Manage Users → Accountants, enter our email, and we appear in your books as your accountant. You stay in full control: you can see everything we do and remove access anytime. It takes about two clicks and thirty seconds.
- QuickBooks Online or Desktop?
- We work in QuickBooks Online — and if you're still on Desktop, we can talk through whether migrating makes sense for your business and handle the setup on the other side.
- Should I get a cleanup or just hire you for monthly bookkeeping?
- Usually both, in that order: the cleanup gets you to a clean starting line, then monthly bookkeeping (from $300/month) keeps you there. But if you'd rather run your own books after the cleanup, we'll train you instead — genuinely, whichever serves you better.
- How long does it take?
- Small cleanups: often a week or two. Multi-year rebuilds: longer, and we'll give you a realistic timeline with your quote. If you're up against a tax deadline, tell us — we sequence deadline work first.
